Jim`s Donut Shop in Vandalia

I have been going here 5-6 times per year to get an order of a couple dozen donuts to share with co-workers. Up until 2 or 3 years ago, I really loved the selection and taste. More recently, however, the donuts just haven't been as appetizing or put together well. The last couple of times I've gone, many of the donuts just crumbled after a couple of bites.

If you like Bill's donuts, you will love Jim's!. It's smaller than the former but, it's one of the cleanest, and delicious donut shops I've ever been to . The ladies up front are always nice as well.

Jim’s has been a Dayton staple for a long time. Amazing donuts in general but I love the twists and strawberry cake donuts. Make a stop, you won’t regret it.

They're specialty donut peanut butter and jelly is delicious. Unfortunately they never have any cream filled donuts in stock. I don't understand how a donut shop can always be out of donuts and will not make more product to sale. Very frustrating when you got there to buy donuts and they never have any for sale.

Not a fan of "crispy" donuts--only went to get apple fritters for a co-worker and decided to get cake donuts with chocolate frosting. They were dry and crispy. Didn't like that they charge you for using a card to pay for your purchases (I think if order is less than $10).

Jim's is pretty good . I suggest calling ahead and asking if they have what you want in stock some times they sell out fast .

Doughnuts are doughnuts but these were decent. Interested in whatever the big brown fritter looking thing was in the bottom right. Might try it next time I'm up there.

It was a good visit , but they hardly ever have my 2 favorite doughnuts or my mom's favorite doughnut. Other than that it's a good visit !!

amazing doughnuts great beverage choices and super friendly and easy to work with staff. they are very quick on getting everyone out of there quick and correctly, and are always enforcing a 3 person maximum capacity, masks are of course always worn!

Jim's donuts is a local staple. Act fast or you will miss out of the mornings best donut offerings. Tucked less than a mile off the highway in a sleepy strip of National Road, they are open 24hrs pumping sweet confectionery smells into the air.

My husband and I went there tonight, it was our first time there ( we are new to the area) staff was very friendly and shared Jim's Donut Shop history with us. We ended up with a dozen of donuts. We must say, the ones we bought were very good and very fresh.

Nice find as our family had a mini vacation in the Dayton area. Good donuts. Wide variety. Open and baking all day and night. Fritters available late night or after midnight. Many customers, even late. We had to drive around the block once to get a parking space. That was a good sign of a reputable shop.

My son who is turning 6 wanted a donut birthday party so they made him a huge donut and put Happy Birthday Connor on it! Everyone loved it

Jim's donut shop is great place to visit and enjoy the atmosphere and the coffee and donuts are fantastic. The ladies working there are very polite. And I've been a customer there for 40 years.

These donuts are amazingly ng and very reasonably priced. We visit about once a month and my kids always look forward to these as a treat. During COVID they are limiting the number of people allowed in the building, so you may have to wait in line outside for your turn.

Where I use to work before I retired use to get all of us donuts when we worked on the weekends. They were always really good. In the last couple of years I have always gotten my donuts there. They went from excellent to downhill. The donuts have a funny taste like a metal taste.Today he stopped and picked up donuts and he got me the large caramel roll without nuts. The roll is so thick now the inside was not completely cooked. The people that wait on us are always friendly but it would be nice to get donuts that are completely cooked and have good taste to them. Thank you.

We went in earlier this week around 10PM after picking up our Dominos order cause we ALWAYS smell donuts when we're in that part of National Road and can never figure out where they are. Well, I used the power of Google and got my answer 😂 we got a fancy dozen, and while my son didnt like the glazed donuts as much ( hes young and picky ) I had a bear claw I'm telling you, the cream filling in that was hands down the BEST bear claw filling I've ever had! I wanna try them fresh in the morning sometime. Also, staff was awesome!

Best donut shop in Dayton, OH area

Great little spot. Stopped by on the way to the airport. Sat at the counter and had a cup of coffee and a peach fritter. It was huge and still cooked perfectly. Coffee is tasty. The staff are very nice and quick. The patrons in the shop are all friendly and happy too! And the prices are better than I've seen anywhere ($7.99 per dozen). A nice way to start my day.

Not up that way much but stopped in with my daughter after a job. Top notch shop. Local places rule. Donuts are killer and great people working there. Get a peach fritter. Please.

They're open all day and night, and the employees are really nice and helpful. They have a lot of odd seasonal donuts and different kinds. Lots of variety and very tasty

My friend Amanda introduced some of us down South of Town to Jim's SO on her behalf WE brought some AWESOME Jim's doughnut holes to Comedy and Cupcakes and a CROWD of over 1000 They devoured ALL the doughnut holes

Jim's is a favorite of my wife and myself. She loves the fritters and the caramel persians with nuts, but I typically get their blueberry donuts. They're open 24 hours and honestly going in late is when you'll get the freshest donuts that'll still be warm when you bite into them.

Donuts were delicious. The lady at the counter today was no where near friendly. I didn’t see her smile once. She seemed short and grumpy with all the customers. She seemed upset that she had to be there and annoyed that we were there making her work.
